Spiritual Growth

…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Kids love to have their height measured and to see their growth marked off on a doorway or other family “heirloom.” Over the years they see the evidence of their physical growth memorialized in the family’s history. Even when they’ve stopped growing that growth chart is an enduring part of their lives. The longer a growth period, the greater the impact. How much more is this the case when looking at one’s spiritual growth. When you gave your life to Christ, God began a good work in you. Have you ever stopped to look back at your growth chart? It is worth the look, not for what you’ve done, but for what God’s done in your life. He’s not going to stop until He calls you home, so keep growing until you hear the trumpet of God.
