Pray, Pray, Pray

“Say to the Israelites: ‘Any Israelite or any foreigner residing in Israel who sacrifices any of his children to Molek is to be put to death. The members of the community are to stone him. I myself will set my face against him and will cut him off from his people; for by sacrificing his children to Molek, he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name. Leviticus 20:2-3

The Lord is unequivocal in His disgust with people that would sacrifice their own children. His punishment for such a person is death. He definitely holds any believer guilty that practices such sacrifices. What of the non-believer? It was this very practice by the people of Canaan that the Lord drove them out of their land, giving the land to the children of Israel. Some today, say our country’s aborting of millions of fetuses is the modern day sacrificing our children to idols. I don’t know if God sees abortions as the same, but surely He is not pleased with the killing of life while still in the womb. Pray for our country. Pray for our leaders. Pray for revival to come out of covid-19. Pray for your enemies. Pray for your families. Pray for your friends and neighbors. Pray for yourself. Pray, Pray, Pray.
