Life Beyond this Life
If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 1 Corinthians 15:19-20
We are not led by blind faith to believe in Jesus. In fact, as the scripture points out if our hope in Christ is only for this life (not eternal life) then we are misled and should be pitied. If there is only this life to live, then we should “eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.” Our faith is not blind, rather our hope is based on Christ who was the first to be raised from the dead, then witnessed by hundreds of people. Our faith is based on God who cannot lie promising to raise believers just as He raised Jesus from the grave. We can live for Christ in this life, which is just a sliver in time, because tomorrow we live!
