He Holds All Things Together

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities–all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Colossians 1:15-17

God entrusted his son Jesus with a lot: creator of all things that were created, glue that holds all things together, and let’s not forget Savior and Messiah. Jesus carries out the Father’s will. He glorifies God in all he does. And God made us, believers in Jesus, to be co-heirs with Christ. What should we do in return? Jesus showed us the way – do the Father’s will and glorify God in all we do. Do that today, then tomorrow, and each day after that. If you fail one day, trust God that if we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Then start a new streak today.
