For All Eternity

Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: ” ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.” Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” Revelation 4:8-11

What will heaven be like? What kinds of things will we do and say for all eternity? These verses speak of things that the four living creatures say day and night without stopping. As they give glory and praise to God, the 24 elders who sit around His throne fall down before God and worship Him, and they glorify God each time. We will not be one of the four living creatures, nor likely one of the 24 elders, but we will likely join with them in their activities or something similar at least some of the time. Are you ready to praise God? Are you ready to worship God? Are you ready to glorify His name? Now is a good time to practice what we will be doing a lot of for all eternity.
